Just got a link to information on New York's new "Dark Tower of Barad-dur".

Sometimes you just have to wonder what in the world was she thinking? I find it hard to believe it was in there for a reason, but how you managed that by accident...

Well, the internet is starting to get back to normal finally (although UUNET looks like they still have problems). This one can't be totally blamed on Microsoft though. They released a patch for SQL Server last year, there's just a bunch of admins who don't patch (which MS is sorta responsible for by claiming they don't need "expensive admins"). The fact that MSDE is installed by everything, listens on the nework when it probably doesn't have to, and is vulnerable even though most people don't know it's installed is something Microsoft and other vendors who install it probably should have dealt with better though (it should have been listed that half of their products install MSDE).

Well, updated my start page again. I decided to make everything a bit tighter so I can add more stuff on there eventually. If anyone still uses it, feedback is welcome.

Well, one week of class down, 2 more to go... And at work Friday two of us said we were going to Chipotle for lunch and 16 people showed up and came along. I'd say that's the most popular place for lunch by far...

Since I was supposed to look up information about myself for homework in my class, I figured it was time to update the about me section which hadn't been touched since last year. Nothing too interesting.

So it's now 2003, at least where I'm at. I celebrated by reading The Fellowship of the Ring (half Monday and half Tuesday) and then watching the extended edition DVD. Did end up pausing the movie for about 5 minutes when everyone who wasn't watching the movie decided they wanted to watch the ball drop though.

Saw Star Trek: Nemesis today. Decent movie, but could have been a lot better. Still glad I saw it, so that's good.

Well, I guess Christmas went well. No caffeine really makes me tired though. I ended up rearranging my room for something to do. Basically made it so the TV can be put in a spot that works for surround sound and watching movies. I guess I now probably have the best movie watching spot in the house in my room. Now I can have friends over for movies more often (well, assuming I keep the place at least somewhat presentable).
