Well, had a few friends over and we watched Windtalkers. It was actually a combination of watching the movie and making note of the ways in which it is a John Woo film. And I decided to go and dig out the Super Nintendo and hook that up, so I'm up to 41 hours on the projector now... Oh well, it doesn't do any good sitting there. :) My email has been down since at least 22:30, which isn't too fun (the server that actually has the mailboxes and client access is unreachable - I suppose I could read it in the queue on the frontend server, but I'm not that desperate). The fact that I haven't been even attempting to check it until everyone left a few minutes ago helps a bit there... Enough rambling - time to get some sleep...

OK, so today is another work on the webpage day. I added comments so now you can comment on any of my entries. You can't post HTML, and the SQL is filtered, so don't even bother trying... Anyways, for your enjoyment here's some links to web pages I came across today... Hope that provides some enjoyment for now...

OK, so I decided to look at my web logs just for kicks before I went to bed. Some unidentified host in Microsoft's 131.107.0.0/16 netblock directly visited /project (no referer, no user agent, just /project and then /project/ after the server's redirect. Oh well, just sorta funny. I don't even mention SQL Server on that page... :) TurnitinBot also decided it'd be fun to index all my project pages for it's database, and then proceded to follow that up with the polls. I guess I'm glad for their sake that only the 5 most recent ones show up on the index page - that's a lot of junk for their database...

Well, another night of movies as usual. Entrapment and Alian Resurrection tonight. I've only had my projector for 11 days, and I have 36 hours on it. Over 3 hours a day average, which is pretty good considering I practically didn't use it for the first week... :) I also backed up and tried to install Win98 on an HP Omnibook Sojourn laptop, which apparently has some weird high memory thing and the installer won't even run. I guess it's back to Win95C (practically Win98 anyways). I guess I should have expected it given it's all custom otherwise (it's about a half inch thick closed - and very light). Anyways, I guess I get some visitors, since someone noticed I actually updated this thing, and redid some other stuff on my site. I think it's time for me to go power cycle another machine and then go get some sleep though... I should start getting up before noon before classes start again...

Vacation is going well - I'm definitely enjoying having nothing to do... For some reason I decided to watch 3 Batman movies in one day though (Batman, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin). Not the greatest movies ever, but I survived... If you want to focus only on sound, I'd have to say Batman Forever has one of the better Dolby Digital tracks I've heard in a while (at least with the laserdisc version)... That pretty much explains what I've done for a big chunk of the day, except my dad stopped down and decided to play with the MP3 player between movies for about a half hour. The music ranged from Tommy James & The Shondells and The Byrds to Rage and LFO. I think the goal for a while was how low could we get the lights to dim to musical peaks in a live version of Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence (yes, it was very loud)... At least he didn't blow any breakers for the second time in one day (hey, I had an excuse)...

I guess I'm getting more desparate at avoiding homework... For some reason rather than spend 30 minutes getting my physics homework out of the way, I set up a email lists server. I have no use for it at this point, but it's set up anyways if I ever find a use...

Now virtual postcards are moved to the new server. Also mostly redesigned it so it looks consistent, but it still needs a few aesthetic updates and other links that are generally considered a part of good web design. It all works technically though...

So jeremy.qux.net is now on a different server. I think I fixed all the bugs, but let me know if you get any server errors... The biggest public change is that yafiygi.com is now separate and not redirecting to http://jeremy.qux.net/random/ anymore.
