Sweet moment in airport security, posted to IP on Thanksgiving. Now that the archives are up and I can link to it (they've been down since at least yesterday), hopefully they stay up...
What is this IP list all about? It piqued my interest, so I subscribed yesterday. Ever since then, only one guy has posted to it so far...I couldn't find a good description of it anywhere online, either.
IP is short for Interesting People. By one guy, you're probably talking about Dave Farber, who runs the list (there are about 10 messages since yesterday, so if you mean you only got one post, there's something up). That's due to the fact it's a moderated list, but rather than sending to the list and he approves, people send to him and he forwards. That's slightly annoying in that it breaks threading when people reply, but it's not high enough traffic to really need to kill threads or anything. There's not really one topic for the list, it's sorta whatever Dave finds interesting.

I don't even know what port is but that sweet story made me want to do the same thing at the airport next time.
