I knew that the expansion until explosion theory wasn't true all of the time. I don't know whether to be relieved or scared again. I agree with the author of the article, the human body is indeed a resilient machine.
I find it interesting that we don't "freeze" since the body doesn't have a medium to transfer the heat to.
The boiling water in the nose and mouth does not sound appealing though
Doesn't freeze *immediately*. Long term it would really depends on whether you're in the sun or shade I guess, but by the time it matters you'd be out of oxygen and wouldn't care.
That really is damn interesting as the site claims. "...it is remarkable that survival times can be measured in minutes rather than seconds..." Remarkable indeed.
